Who? Alexis Nicole
Where? Born and raised in Richmond, Virgina but I now reside in Atlanta.
What? I am the singer, songwriter, and musician that is heading up the real music movement. I grew up in the church and was very athletic in school, but I choose to pursue music because it is my passion. I attended Middle Tennessee State University and graduated from their Recording Industry Progam so not only is music my passion, it is my craft.
What inspires you? My heart. I know that because I am an artist, most would expect me to say music first, but it is my heart that inspires me to create. Music is the vehicle for my heart to express itself in.
Why are you fly? I am fly because I have a dream and I refuse to ignore it. I live it and breathe it every single day and no matter what comes - good or bad - I choose to continue to follow it. I am fly because I believe that my God given talent is meant not just for me, but to help inspire, encourage, and movitate others to stay true to who they are. I am fly because I refuse to give up, I support real music, and I have faith in the power of music as education.
Advice: The quickest way to fail is to be like everyone else and allow someone or something to define you. Love yourself for who you are, respect your talents, use your challenges to grow stronger, and follow your heart. Talent can only take you so far, use your unique vision, hard work, and dedication to push your dreams forward.
