Here's some music for your weekend. I just discovered Anjulie and was instantly intrigued when I heard the first song, Boom, on her self-titled album. I also enjoy The Heat, Crazy That Way, and Some Dumb Girl. Check out her site and click the Anjulie Radio for full versions of her songs. Purchase the album here.

B-Side by Kena and Dana remixes vintage scarves with brass to create a multi-functional piece. Definitely check out the site to see how this sassy scarf can transform into a necklace and belt.

Valentine's Day is the perfect holiday to give a gift celebrating the love for those natural coils. If you purchase one or more of the coily prints (The Only Regret, Kinky Coily Curly, or Self-Love) you will receive one Valentine's Day card with each order. The card has a blank interior, measures at 3.5" x 4.75" and comes with a red envelope.
The card can work two ways "Be Kinky" for your honey {wink, wink} or "Be Kinky" for the friend who loves their kinky hair. I probably didn't have to explain that, but just in case...
Place your order today through February 5th for the special offer.

Where: Currently living in NYC. Born and raised in Atlanta GA.
What do you do? I’m the PR Coordinator at Brian Reyes. I do all sorts of things from sample tracking, to writing, to merchandising. I love that every day I never know quite what to expect! What inspires you? This may sound corny, but my grandmother has always been my biggest inspiration. She lived during a time when many African-Americans didn’t even have the opportunity to finish high school. She walked miles every day to attend a high school and college that would accept African American students just so she could get an education. It took her six years to get her college degree, but she never gave up. Any time I’m faced with a difficult situation, I always think of her and what she went through. I know that if she could reach her goals, in the midst of so much adversity, that I can definitely do anything I set my mind to!
Why are you fly? I think every woman is fly in their own way and for so many different reasons. I think I’m fly at different times for different reasons. But right now, I’d say I’m fly because I finally got up the courage to move to New York to pursue my dream of working in fashion PR, and now I’m doing what I love!Advice: If you have a dream, go for it. It’ll probably take a lot of work to get there, but once you do, it’s so worth it.
