As you know I am preparing for my M.F.A. thesis exhibition and reception which is literally around the corner. Although what to wear is not a huge priority compared to the other things on my To Do list, I feel quite compelled to put some thought into it starting now. There's nothing worse than running around a mall the night before trying to find an outfit as shop-owners start pulling down their gates (which happened to me when I was getting my B.F.A.). This time around I don't foresee myself having any time at all to do any shopping. Nope. Instead these next two weeks I will probably be submerged in a sea of all-nighters, Xacto blades, and design printouts only to reappear the day of my exhibition. I do not want to show up with Studio Tac pieces stuck to my arm, double-stick tape in my 'fro and a boring outfit I dug up out of dresser drawer. No, I want to be...shall I say it...fly. So I need help. This is a call to all boutique owners and goers, on-line shoppers, designers, and fabulous fashionistas, if you see something cute send me the link, name, design, or hell, even the dress my way ;). You guys send me great suggestions and links all the time so definitely send whatever you can think of. Does your grandmother's best friend's cousin own a cute boutique with one-of-a-kind pieces? Do you sew funky little dresses for petite ladies? Did you happen to come across a brightly colored vintage romper that is desperately looking for a home? If so email me!!!!!!! I will be posting suggestions and the final decision in the days to come. Thank you!
Oh, here's what I like: EVERYTHING! I'm so indecisive right now I really have no idea. I could wear a jumpsuit, a romper, a dress (no A-lines, please), a skirt with a cute top, whatever. I am open to anything. Just remember I'm petite so nothing long. Thanks again.

It's always cool to see the studio spaces of creative people. Check out this feature from Urban Outfitters of costume designer Christian Joy's creative space.

I love the paintings of Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes and now adoring these installations based off of her style.

I dig these designs from Hussein Chalayan. That jumpsuit pictured top right is hotness.
