Earlier this week in my Half-Brazilian post I mentioned how my mother played a lot of Brazilian music in our house. There are certain songs that really take me back to those days, like this one, "Águas de Março," composed by Antonio Carlos Jobim and sung by Elis Regina.
I LOVE this song simply inspired by the rainiest month in Rio, March. "Águas de Março" softly sings about the floods the torrential rains cause on the hillsides of Rio, while also infusing the beauty of Brazilian culture.
