Fly Spot: Laurelhurst Market in Portland
I love going here for a nice casual meal of steak or mussels. It has all the quality of a high end steakhouse, but without the stuffiness. Laurelhurst Market definitely knows their meats and the cuts of meat for steak changes daily. We always get their Suppli Al Telefono, which are Braised Shortribs & Mozzarella Risotto Fritters with Arugula and Cured Olives. Their steak frites are also yummy. It's perfectly seared to seal in the juices and gives it an amazing crisp crust. We also love biking here in the summer to pick up some of their delicious sandwiches from the butcher shop and then riding to the nearby park and picnicking on the grass by the lake.
